A documentary film that is a portrait of a film critic as seen by a filmmaker. Contemporary cinema manipulates reality by hiding itself; this experiment by Luca Ferri manifests its opposite explicitly and overtly as an act of resistance. Through a deliberately rigid structure the filmmaker becomes superfluous during the very act of filming.

Since 2011 he has been writing, photographing and directing films presented at national and international festivals. His first fiction feature Abacuc (2015) was presented at Torino Film Festival. In 2018 Dulcinea is selected at the 71st Locarno Film Festival in competition in the signs of life section, while Pierino is presented at the 61st Dok Leipzig. In 2020 La Casa dell’Amore is presented at the 70th Berlinale in the Forum section. In 2023 his two-reel film Perduto Paradiso is presented at the Bellaria Film Festival and Fid Marseille.
