Grosseto, 2008. Edoardo, Iacopo and Michele are young members of a punk band. Tired of playing for local festivals and Festa dell’Unità, they finally have a chance to bounce back by opening, in Bologna, the show of Defense – a famous hardcore punk american band. When the show is cancelled, they do not give up: if they can’t play with Defense in Bologna, then Defense will play with them in Grosseto. Their plan, however, turns out to be harder than they thought: the paradoxes of provincial life transform every detail in a deal breaker, threatening the success of their enterprise, and putting at risk their most valuable ideal, i.e. their friendship. Margini recounts dreams and repentances of an entire generation through an original sight, within which the conutryside, with its poetics, becomes a universal place. After all, from I vitelloni to I basilischi, the finest Italian cinema has walked through this place.

Since 2010, Niccolò Falsetti (Grosseto, 1987), works as writer and director both by himself and within ZERØ, a collective of authors and filmmakers. During the last years, he worked as second-unit director with Manetti bros., both on the Diabolik trilogy and on L’ispettore Coliandro TV show. Again with Manetti bros. he co-directed a videoclip for Manuel Agnelli e Max Pezzali, Nek e Francesco Renga. From 2005 to nowadays he never stopped playing with PEGS, his punk band.
