In 1960 one of Italy’s greatest social revolutions took place: television began to reach the working class – a place for people to meet, a show for private homes. It opened a window to new possibilities, to see more. Suddenly dreams, fantasies took on concreteness, became desires. Lucarini tells, through his father’s voice, public and family video material, what the advent of television was, how we changed in front of that screen and how it changed who we are. What are fantasies if we can see them, if we can fill our eyes with a thousand colours and sounds? Do we still want to know what is beyond the hill?
